Good morning, my beloved in Christ.

Welcome to Christpoint Church Melbourne - Online!

I am overjoyed to be able to launch with you all this New Online Ministry.
5 years ago, I left this Ministry aside due to taking on another project which came to a screeching halt in December last year.
I am Extremely exited for today, 5 years later, it is the day that the Lord has made to launch:
Christpoint Church Melbourne - Online!

Please join me in this New Adventure that God has prepared for you and I.

It is my prayer that as we all face the fact that COVID19 is at our door step, we are all fully trusting in our Lord Jesus Christ to cover us with His precious blood and abundant mercy.

Please remember what Proverbs 22:3 says:

• “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.” Proverbs‬ ‭22:3

Remember to follow the instructions of the Health Authorities, be sensible and responsible about how you conduct yourself during this pandemic.

Last week, a very special person asked me to pray with her and to read the book of Romans 2:1

Thank you for reaching out to me, you were heaven sent and your timing was precise!

(You know who you are, may God bless you and your family)

Romans chapter 2, challenges us all as to whether we will follow or oppose God’s plan.

This morning we will look at judging others and whether to obey or disobey God’s word.

•“Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things. But do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,” Romans‬ ‭2:1-5‬ ‭

The passage that links to the book of Romans Chapter 2 is the following one:

• “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Matthew‬ ‭7:1-5‬ ‭

Matthew 7:1-5, tells us that Jesus did not approve of judging others.

He tells us to look at our own lives and get right with God before we judge others.

It follows on from last week’s devotional –

God wants us to be Lovers of righteousness!

• “God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.” Romans‬ ‭2:6-11‬ ‭

We are to obey God and love righteousness.

God told the nation of Israel in Deuteronomy 6:1-19, that they were to love God and obey Him.

• “These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. When the Lord your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you—a land with large, flourishing cities you did not build, houses filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant—then when you eat and are satisfied, be careful that you do not forget the Lord, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in his name. Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you; for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous God and his anger will burn against you, and he will destroy you from the face of the land. Do not put the Lord your God to the test as you did at Massah. Be sure to keep the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you. Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight, so that it may go well with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors, thrusting out all your enemies before you, as the Lord said.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:1-19‬ ‭

Obedience is the outward expression of our love for God and His Son Jesus Christ.

When we obey, we tell God I believe, trust, and rest, in you.

We allow Him to be in us and us in Him.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” Romans‬ ‭8:1‬ ‭

Do we want to show our love for Jesus today?

Obey His Word!

God bless you all.
