Good morning my beloved, welcome to Christpoint Church Melbourne!
This morning it is my prayer that our Lord Jesus Christ is Risen in your hearts and lives.
HE IS RISEN, IN DEED!
•“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said…..” Matthew 28:6
He is Risen, Jesus has Risen indeed!!
How wonderful it is to know that our Lord Jesus Is Risen! Death Could not hold Him down!!
I never imagined God’s power.
As a young kid, I read in the Bible this verse:
•”Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
I’m not sure if this is what I experienced when at my young age of 8 going on 9 when I allowed Jesus into my heart as the Savior of my life.
(At least that is what I thought I did.)
As I turned older, this time at my 20 years of age, I decided to reconfirm my faith by saying to God:
“You know, I let You into my heart before when I was a young kid….not sure how You took it though? But, here I go again, just in case. Jesus, I accept you once again into my heart and life as my true Savior, Lord and King. I will follow you.”
Having grown up in a Christian home since 1982, I found it from strange to hard to go to catholic schools or secular schools where people looked at me different because I was a Born again Christian or a “protestant”.
I wasn’t sure why they were calling me this as it was always them “protesting” against my unruly behavior! Lol 😃
As I got to high school my behavior had not gotten any better; on the contrary, if you will “it could not have gotten any worse”.
I didn’t tell anyone I was a Christian, first of all because they wouldn’t believe me, second I felt embarrassed…not for being one but because I didn’t behave like one.
I went to church on Sundays with my folks; read the bible, prayed, I even player the guitar during the services.
Once Monday arrived, my horns and tail came out and I continued with my “colorful” behavior.
As I grew older I became more and more rebellious.
Not sure why, as my parents were firm, strict and fair.
I’m not sure if all I wanted was attention?
What I do know is that I always got it, boy did I get it!
The problem was that I got it for the wrong reasons.
As a young adult, I continued with this rebelliousness.
This time it was exteriorized by alcohol, tobacco and a disorderly life (in every aspect of it) which characterized who I was for a long time.

Today, 26 years later; I know that the old has gone and the new has come.
My current life is not a perfect example one; however, it sure has changed from whom I was many years ago.
Today, I try to encourage others who like me at one stage of life had lost track of where I was heading (hell).
Yesterday, we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus.
He is our Joy and Inspiration; He is our motivation, He is our Savior.
Today is your day to be resurrected also.
Accept Christ into your heart, accept Him as your Lord and Savior Today!!
Your life will change!
”Your life will have LIFE!”
Today, you will have a new reason to rejoice and celebrate.
You will celebrate your new life in Christ. You will see the change in it, your family will see the difference, your friends will see the difference, your workmates will see the difference, your enemies will also see it.
Don’t stop now, declare Jesus as your Savior, there is nothing stopping or hindering you.
God has wonderful things planned for you, through Jesus Christ.
You are not reading this Devotional by chance!
You are reading it because Jesus wanted to say to you via it:
“I love you and died for you. Let me into your heart.”
If you decide for Jesus today, you can fully say :
He is Risen, Jesus is Risen indeed!!
